The movie that I used to hate which I now understand and has taught me a key life lesson.
Background
I hated this movie when I watched it as a four year old in the theaters. In hindsite, it was proboly because I was too young to understand the movie and the life lessons that this movies was trying to teach. Anyway, I recently rewatched the movie. I really liked it and I found a quote in the movie that showed a life lesson that I really struggle with. The quote inspired me to write this article.
Quote and Context
“Jitna bi koshi karlo kochna kuch chotega toh jan hai veya ka massa leh” ~ 1:59:25 Yeh Jewaani Hai Deewani
The quote translates to “no matter how much you try, something or another will get left out so enjoy where you are.”
As Naina told Bunny, You can’t enjoy the sunset and see the lights at the same thing. You will either miss the sunset or the lights. Both will be amazing and it is up to you on what you would rather do… you will have to miss something.
Explanation
There is not 100 hours in a day so you can do everything you want in one day, neither is there is a time-turner or the ablility to go back in time. Who knows maybe in the future science fiction will turn into reality but now is not the time. Until then we are have to chose what to do because we can’t be in two places at the same time.
You can’t do everything at the same time… you will always miss something. I wish you could be in two places at once but that will never happen well it might happen in a hundred years but it will not happen anytime soon which is why this is a relevant life lesson. It is especially relevant today when many people have FOMO, they are constantly checking social media and trying to go to all the events and places that their friends in real-life or social media say are must go-places. When you do that, you just end up like a chicken with your head cut off running in circles.
I am the type of person that has a huge list of to-dos and events that I must do in one day. Let’s just say I tend to overbook myself and then get frustrated with myself for thinking that I can accoplish everything in the whole world in one day. It is even worse on the days that I decide to cram and then study for a test or complete a two thousand word essay (did that yesterday and it was not my proudest moment). When I decide to cram then I wish I could rewind the day and start earlier so I do not have to cram. My point is that I must realize that you can’t go back in time nor can you be in two places at once.
You can’t do everything in the whole world and you have to prioritize what will make you happiest if you do it.
Everyday you have to chose… should I watch a movie with friends or study for my exam? should I travel or save money? We make these kinds of decisions every day.
Life is all about the choices that you make and it is up to us to make choices that make us the happiest (in the short-term or the long-term).
Thank you so much for reading! Tunning out! :)

Sp true! We want to do everything but we only have so much time. Can't be in two places at the same time either.Instead of thinking about both things enjoy the one thing you choose!
